Partnership with the SPCA
With the presentation of a check for $35,000, Hank Fisher Properties became the largest single contributor to the local SPCA’s Senior Services Program, which helps seniors retain and care for their beloved pets.

Sacramento SPCA Executive Director Rick Johnson and his pet, Phoebe, receive a donation check from HFP President Nancy Fisher for the Senior Services Program.
The funds were raised through a golf tournament HFP organized and sponsored at Del Paso Country Club. The event is now planned to be held annually in Spring.
Through HFP’s support of the Seniors Services Program, the SPCA is able to provide low-cost pet care workshops, discounts on pet adoptions, obedience training, a helpline for animal behavior consultation, “Love on Loan” pet visits to senior residences, and other services. These services are designed to enable the elderly to enjoy the health and wellness benefits of pet ownership.
“Through our retirement communities, Hank Fisher Properties has been working to enhance the lives of seniors for over 30 years,” Mrs. Fisher stated, “so, we are pleased to team with the SPCA to help older adults maintain relationships with their beloved animal companions. Pet ownership can be especially beneficial to seniors and we are happy to support services that allow them to maintain these valuable relationships.”
