I have been collecting my thoughts and trying to find a way to thank those who made my mother’s last days at the Chateau at Carmichael Park so very special. She called it home; I called it community. She would want me to tell you that you made her last two years of life happy years. They were filled with laughter, smiles and the knowledge that she mattered. She knew she had friends and she was comfortable and safe. I was able to visit her and share her community. I too was blessed. I am grateful for each of you . . . each in your own way went above and beyond your job description. You reached out to both my mother and myself. You provided hugs and warmth and comfort. You were blankets for our souls. You were our angels. I will never forget you.
