Jean H.'s testimonial
This week I received a letter from the family of Dorothy S., informing me that she died this past Mother’s Day. I was saddened and very sorry to hear of her passing as she was an extraordinarily dear friend. — someone I treasured and always looked forward to visiting.
It was a great comfort to me, however, to see what a beautiful, love-filled and positive environment she lived in during her last years. Too many eldercare establishments I’ve seen are not pleasant places at all. I’m sorry to say that my husband’s grandmother spent her last three years in a rather sterile institution that seemed devoid of life and hope. She deserved so much better than that . . . all of the residents did.
The Chateau, however, is welcoming and uplifting, like an elegant hotel with a homey touch. The beauty of the grounds, the cheerful and light-filled decor and the air of positive optimism were evident every time I visited. I was impressed with the personal, loving care the staff showed each resident, and the long-term stability of seeing the same friendly employees year after year. You and your entire staff are to be commended for providing a supportive, pleasing environment for your residents, and for making their later years as happy and comfortable as possible.
Her seemingly simple gesture of encouragement (she said it was just “all in a day’s work”) made a huge difference in my life. She is no longer with us, but her influence will live on for many generations.
Thank you for taking such good care of a truly remarkable and very special lady.
