Pamela V.'s testimonial
I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the operation of your memory day care program. The staff have so positively impacted my mother in her daily life that I needed to share our experiences.
When I contacted Linda and inquired about your memory day care, I was met with informed, detailed answers specific to my mother’s type of dementia This was rare, as is her diagnosis of Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia. Linda was able to make suggestions for helping mom adjust to the program and for helping me at home. To say that I was burned out when I came to your program is an understatement. Linda also helped me help myself and helped me understand I could not do it alone. God Bless her!
My mom who did not want to get dressed take care of her ADLs [activities of daily living], or do much of anything was moaning and groaning about having to go BUT an interesting thing happened. Mom was getting up on her own, bathing, dressing and asking when she was supposed to be at The Club Carmichael Park. My mom’s mental functioning and quality of life improved dramatically. Linda’s kind, gentle, caring approach won mom’s heart. Linda helped stop a behavior that has been most problematic for us, which was her habit of socking us on the arm when greeting us. That behavior is long gone and replaced with a loving stroke on the arm.
At my time of need you were there. Her doctors were impressed with the changes they saw, both in mom and me. Linda was there for too many things to mention but will suffice it to say, she has been our guardian angel for the past year. A special thanks to the staff member who mom thought the world of.
Thank you for taking such good care of my mom in a time when taking care of her was feeling so overwhelming. A kinder and more gentle teacher cannot be found beyond our Linda Zisko. Please share with her our most heartfelt appreciation and let her know she impacted our lives in a way that will never be forgotten.
Sincerely appreciative,
Pamela V.
